KPFA interview with OEA rep on black student reparations movement

Davey D of KPFA spoke with Pecolia Manigo of Bay Area PLAN and Kampala Taiz-Rancifer of the Oakland Education Association this past Friday. The conversation went over the push to reopen in-person learning, as well as the topic of reparations for Black students now in front of the School Board. While Action 2020 has not voted on a position on the reparations initiative, it has relevance for us due to the inclusion the issue of stopping the shuttering of public schools and colocating with charter schools as racial justice issues.

The piece begins after the news at the 5:00 mark.
